To Make The Crowds Smile

A trip into York this morning with the boys while Mr Kit was playing golf and it’s always a treat to come across local band Hyde Family Jam busking on Parliament Street. Their energy is perfect to make the crowds smile on a sunny Saturday morning.

It was rather depressing though to see how dirty, tatty and empty Coney Street was looking. It was full of empty shops, pound shops and dubiously dressed hen parties tottering along carrying their inflatable penises. I understand that the council are trying to do something about it (including the inflatable penises) but they need to be quick as that part of town certainly feels pretty derelict. On the plus side, the are around the Minster and the Shambles was buzzing.
