Switching off

I had a terrible nights sleep last night. A colleague had messaged me with some desperate news about one of my pupils. His dad died tragically on Saturday. This is just devastating for him as he already has had a really tough wee life. I just lay awake thinking about him and how I can support him when he comes back to school. He will need a lot of support.
First day back was noisy but ok. As I was off the week before with covid my classroom was a bit of tip which didn’t help matters.
Anyway trying to switch off now and read my book but Lexi has other ideas;)
