Joe Martins latest wetlands reclaim. 
Last year this was barley fields. Fields that are a metre below the level of the Great Ouse which runs past it. In fact a year ago this March Ben Casey who farmed it had a diesel generated pump running most of that month pumping water into the Relief Channel just so it would be dry enough to plant the barley. 
There has been barley here for at least 3 years so it must have been some time ago when a rapeseed crop dropped its seeds here to grow through the rushes for this year. A strange but beautiful sight.
