Dotterel

Having tried and failed to catch up with them yesterday, I was pleased that they were still there this morning. Sadly the sun has disappeared for a while and so the light was not as good as one might have hoped but they were still attraqctive birds. 
There were five of them and they have the pleasing collective noun of a 'trip' of Dotterel. They don't breed in Iceland and so the easterly winds have probably blown them slightly off course on their route between Africa and Scandonavia.
