Abandoned farm on the beautiful Silver River loop walk, Co Offaly 8km of forever changing terrains. Day trip out in camper on a beautiful sunny warm spring day. Stopped at Kinnitty Castle for afternoon cuppa , where a mountain bike race was just starting , so we happily people watched and bike watched in our sunnies for a while.
Stopped off to observe the Kinnitty pyramid . Complete replica of the Cheops pyramid in Egypt, built in 1830’s by Richard Wellesley- pyramid nutter Bernard. Mike of course tried to climb up it ! I thought it would be enormous but it seems they weren’t all huge . This one is based on your more average rich rather than the super mega rich Giza style !
