"Nelle prime ore del 24 febbraio siamo stati tutti raggiunti dalla notizia che le forze armate russe avevano invaso l'Ucraina, entrando nel suo territorio. Come tutti, quel giorno, ho avvertito un pesante senso di allarme, di tristezza, di indignazione. A questi sentimenti si è subito affiancato il pensiero agli ucraini svegliati dalle bombe. E, pensando a loro, mi sono venute in mente queste parole: "Questa mattina mi sono svegliato e ho trovato l'invasor". Sappiamo tutti da dove sono tratte queste parole. Sono le prime di "Bella ciao".

E oggi c'è tra gli storici concordia nell'assegnare il titolo di resistente a tutti coloro che, con le armi o senza, mettendo in gioco la propria vita, si oppongono a una invasione straniera, frutto dell'arbitrio e contraria al diritto, oltre che al senso stesso della dignità." Grazie Presidente per aver messo un punto fermo a questa sterile polemica sul considerare o meno la resistenza ucraina alla pari con la resistenza dei Nostri partigiani.
