ANZAC Day in Australia and New Zealand...
Every year on ANZAC Day I head out to capture sunrise and to pay my respect to our Service men and women who've lost their lives defending our country...
.Alarm was set for 4am, out the door at 4:45am (I was a bit slow getting my act together)... On my drive to my destination it rained, I pulled up at 5:15am at Wellington Point Reserve and it was blowing a gale, the tide was high which meat it was splashing over the rock wall...There was a huge bank of dark clouds sitting on the horizon... Sunrise 6:09am, once it had stopped raining I got out of my car and went for a little walk around and watching the horizon... Each time it rained I hopped back in my car so as not to get wet... 6:09am came and went with no sign of the sun... Last week my friend Gayle gave me some awesome embroidered Poppies so I took 1 with me so I could use it in a couple of my images, so that what I did... I liked what I captured so the morning wasn't a complete waste...
