An Invincible Summer.....

Scrabbulous!

A lovely plan to catch up with friends for tea ended up with a game of Scrabble in a local bar ;)

Julia was hard to get hold of when meeting arrangements changed, we thought we'd lost her, but who brings their mobile phone with them whilst digging in the allotment?
I know I wouldn't, if I was ever lucky enough to have one (an allotment that is, not a mobile phone ;)

May & I fought our way through the rain to this cosy little cafe/bar.....it was lovely and warm inside even if the service was far from it!

A glass of rosé and a couple of cuppas led to a very calm game of words. I'm used to playing with rather competitive players so it was very relaxing.....and for someone who was wearing her beloved Scrabble pendant it was rather shameful to come last haha!
Or was is second from last?

Children are the most desirable opponents at scrabble as they are both easy to beat and fun to cheat.

Ah well, win or lose I reckon every day should involve tea and words with friends ( and cake where possible ;)
