Scent of Spring

Narcissus jonquilla has as strong a scent as any daffodil, the scent of Spring to me. In the wild it grows in places that are very wet in the flowering season. I have seen pictures of plants in flower seeming to grow out of the floodwater! Here tolerates our dry soil enhancing the Spring display.
