Back to normal, visitors all gone

Bit of a blitz inside and outside as nothing had been done for over a week. However a couple of hours of busyiness and all back to normal.
I spent some time wandering around the garden and have been surprised at all the things popping up and and the ones in flower. I was particularly struck with this one, an Ajuga planted a couple of years ago. The flowers are far more profuse than last year.
The plant might be good but not for photographic purposes. It is a dark plant in a shaded corner. It was a very bright sunny day, the contrast was too great so something had to give. That's why the background is so over exposed. It was too late to try and get another shot
