Coronilla

This beautiful member of the broom family adds a huge and splendid splash of colour early in the year that seems to last for weeks. Today I potted up a young self-set Coronilla from M&W's garden. It was hiding under the branches of its parent. Hope it proves such a show-stopper when it's grown.

Pleased so many of you enjoyed my 'Spot-the-difference' blip yesterday of this garden (though viewed from the side the Coronilla grows, so it wasn't in the picture). I think most people found all 12 differences between the two images, but for those who didn't, here they are - based on the lower picture:

1. St George's flag on chair (specially for 23rd April!)
2. Missing stepping stone on lawn
3. Yellow flowers at the front of the bed to the left of Buddha
4. Blue plant pot now red
5. White arrow on fence panel
6. Buddha wearing a wig (with plaits and bows!)
7. Black cat on left hand side
8. Bird to the right of Buddha (a thrush that had been on the lawn)
9. White butterfly in the top right-hand corner
10. Red flowers in the front left-hand corner
11. Missing clock (top right)
12. Missing bird-feeder (top left)

It was fun, but time-consuming, to do. Perhaps that is why I only do them about once a year! :-)
