Ferrybridge

The cooling towers (and everything else) have been demolished since we visited Mum in February. It’s very odd driving up the A1 and them not being there to guide me home.

We were on the road by 8.30 which allowed us an hour to call in on my friend’s in Derby. Always a pleasure and far too short :-(

No Glos services on the way back - Smallest requested a McDonald’s so we stopped at Quedgley. We may have then stopped again at IKEA for caffeine…. Home safe and sound by 5. The last of my 4 x 396 mile drives this week!
