Towering

Mr KT and I needed to see the sea after spending a few weeks in the mountains - so headed off to East Lothian. Stopped outside Haddington to visit Hopetoun Monument, perched on a hillside with a view down the coast. We’ve driven passed this so many times and kept promising to stop and look. Mr KT climbed the stairs inside the tower - making way through piles of sticks from old jackdaw nests.
The great advantage of the view was that we could see a haar was sitting over the coast from North Berwick to Gullabe. So that changed our destination from NB to Aberlady. Lovely walk along the beach - if a little chilly from the edge of the haar.
