A mug's game.....
An East coast chill today, yesterday's sunshine long gone.
Spent the morning bringing in big square bales we had been using as lambing shelters and stacking them back in a shed. Usually they would get stacked outside and used as bedding straw, but with the price and availability of straw going to be a huge issue this harvest these will need to be kept for re use next year to try and help save some money.
Another cow calved tonight. She was a wee bit motherly so when I checked from a distance and saw that she had calved ok, I left them to it.
A bit of a disaster when coming out the tractor cab. Caught the handle of my last remaining YFC mug on the cab door and snapped it off. It had survived well up till now as it is about30 odd years old. Bugger....
