Boys on the beach

I got my hair cut then we went over to see the Whitley Bat family. The boys had been allowed to go to the park by themselves for the first time. They had to cross two quiet streets and take the footbridge over the metro line. They loved the independence and forgave their mum for checking on them as she went bearing ice cream.

We all walked to the beach and had a stroll on the sand while the boys played for a while before #2 daughter and I headed back. The 2.5 miles were a struggle with my leg.

We called in at the shop that sells second-hand clothes and were tempted by a few things. I had socks on so couldn’t be sure the purple suede shoes fitted ok on the bigger foot, but I did get some funky Missoni sunglasses which are lovely. They have a case which is big enough for me not to lose it, but probably too big to fit in a handbag. I was tempted by a Mulberry handbag which was going cheap because there was a biro mark on the lining, but resuisted, and some Art Deco earrings. I didn’t even ask the price as they were under lock and key.
