Horse chestnut candles

We went exploring North Kessock and were pleased to find a path at the end of our street which is an excellent shortcut to the bus stop, the school and the doctor's surgery. We spotted this lovely fresh green new growth on the way. We checked out a couple of small play parks and came back the scenic way along the shore and up the hill.

I scattered some seed under the hedge and the young blackbird has ventured out a metre or so to peck at the seeds the sparrows scatter under the bird feeder. He was a bit wobbly and there was a bit of wing flapping to keep his balance then he flew back up into the hedge. Remarkable progress in just two days so here is again in the extra,
