Rescued Rug
When my parents furnished their house, almost 50 years ago, they spent a lot of money on Oriental rugs, mostly from Caucasia. Sadly, after years when my mother didn’t use some of the rooms in her house regularly, several of these beautiful old rugs got infested by moths.
Since my mother doesn’t remember the things in those unused rooms anymore, I resolved to start a rug rescue operation. I will have to consult a specialist to assess and clean them professionally, and hopefully repair what can be repaired.
Today, I took the first three old rugs home with me. One is too damaged to use it without repairs; the other two seem to be fine, but I’ll get them cleaned as well and keep an eye on them. The cats already volunteered to help.
