This day is celebrated in England as both Shakespeare's birthday and the day he died aged 52.  It is also St George's day, the patron saint of England.
The teapot is one frrom my collection of pots of all sizes.  It depicts a scene from Hamlet,  playsone of Shakespeare's 
The only thing I could find that depicted St George is in extras.  A flag in a neighbours garden.  There is usually a Union Jack on that flagpole , but for today it is a St George's Cross.
