Busy

Didn’t sleep at all well…it was too warm and I seemed to keep waking up so was weary in the morning, but enjoyed more chat over breakfast before we travelled down to the board meeting…another stunning sunny day.
The meeting went well, and more good chat with people. All feels very positive and some exciting stuff coming up.
Dashed off to catch the train home to be back in time to have an updated tour around the work continuing at the old Royal Infirmary …the event space is now constructed and the huge new steel hanging staircases have been dropped in….and some of the old ward spaces are now virtually complete (extras). Looks amazing….
Once A was home we walked across town for a quick cocktail (very nice wee Italian bar on Bread St) then to see a play about the Edinburgh Seven, the first women to study medicine in the UK at Edinburgh and the fight they had to be accepted. It was really good ….lots of energy from the young cast. Home via the little home made ramen shop near the flat…delicious (extra) and very friendly staff. An excellent day!
