Caisteal Tioram
I can’t recall seeing Castle Tioram before. The location, on a tidal island where the River Sheil meets Loch Moidart is stunning. It was just after high tide so I needed to paddle across the sand bar, I could have spent the whole day there.
I drove home via Kinlochmoidart, stopping to look at St Finan’s (extra) the Episcopalian church with its Victorian stain glass windows.
Glenfinnan and the path to the viaduct was hoaching so I gave it a miss, and instead kept driving to Tyndrum where I stopped at the Real Food Café for fish and chips – the best in Scotland, in my opinion.
I will miss not seeing the pine martens tonight, although I think the railway fox cubs might be starting to emerge, I must investigate in the next couple of days.
