Lisbeth

I called this monster Lisbeth. 

Am I being too clever, I wonder.

It is a hornet. A very large, very dead one. 

Found it on the drive. The sting in the tail is it's size.

In common parlance it is bloody enormous. About 1.75 inches long, easy 2.5 times the size of any wasp I have seen in the UK

They are here people, you have been warned. 

Talking of stings in the tail, my wife got stung by a jellyfish last week. 

She shouted at me.. "quick, pee on it"!!

So I did. I peed on that jellyfish and said.. '' There, that's for stinging my wife''....

Big classic car event tomorrow. Big day out for Kitty and me. Can' t wait... Watch this space.
