Job : A Micrcosm Lesson For Our Earth
Job: A Microcosm Lesson For Our Earth
And just like that, Job suffered calamity.
He lost his wife, he lost his family -
But he did not lose his faith in the Lord God Almighty*
And just like that, Earth suffered environmental tragedies.
It lost pure air to smog and to methane industries,
and pristine waters to plastics and irresponsibilities.
And just as the Lord God Almighty allowed Satan to put Job to the test
With boils and lesions, plus possessions destroyed at Lucifer’s behest,
The Lord God Almighty allowed it for humanity to learn from, to be blest.
As Job held forth with advisors and friends
Analyzing the whys and reasons for such trends
Job never wavered from his faithful Amens.*
And as all our climatologists wring their hands
And draw their graphs and point to lost lands
Truth has gone astray, that only God can revive Earth’s environs.
So Job’s story is meant for today
As we struggle with our inability to pray
For a renewal of hearts and minds, and to obey.
Saying Yes! To diligent prayer and fasting!
Only the Lord God Almighty can heal the land without all the blasting
For His Name is “All-sufficient” and “Sustainer” to the everlasting!
Note that Job was restored, blessed with a new family,
Wealth and health sustained his reality
As he lived an enlightened man – read his story and see.
*Amen: So be it
The “Lord God Almighty” is translated from the Hebrew “El Shaddai”. The book of Job uses the name El Shaddai more than any book in the biblical canon.
El Shaddai: All-sufficient one, sustainer
The LORD blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part.
Job 42:12
Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.
After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. And so Job died, an old man and full of years. Job 42:15-17
