I'll be wearing this to some of the crime fiction festivals I'm attending over the summer. It's the opening line from my first historical thriller City of Vengeance.

Might even take it down to ChipLitFest 2022 in Chipping Norton this weekend where I'm running a workshop on creating compelling characters on Sunday afternoon.
