Another high key meeting of streets.

Yesterday my GP changed my medication to slow release ibuprofen; which was what I was hoping for. I didn’t take any anti-inflammatory before seeing her so by 5 o’clock I was seriously stiff. Now the joy of slow release is it will be effective all night but of course the downside is it takes forever to kick in! But kick in it did eventually and sure enough even first thing in the morning I didn’t feel stiff. Or at least I didn’t until I tried to walk. Still it was the first pain free night I’ve had in weeks.

I was supposed to go into the surgery to collect a script for Vitamin D. It was prescribed 2 months ago and I simply pass all my scripts on to the Co-op pharmacy and collect when it’s due. There was only one Vitamin D script which finished a couple of weeks ago so I GP asked when she wanted blood tests. She said not until I finish the 15 tablet course. But I was only given 6 tablets! It turns out that at 2 tablets per week it’s a 2 month course so Nicky issued a script for the 15 tablet course. But the pharmacy can’t give more than one month at a time; hence 8 tablets. But because there was only one script they can’t dispense the rest of the tablets (as the pharmacist explained to me). So having left a message with Nicky’s secretary I’m hoping I can get hold of the other 7 tablets!
But despite not feeling stiff this morning I couldn’t summons up the energy to go back the town so that will have to wait until Monday.
