The Boys of Summer Are Back

After taking last season off, I didn't think Merrick would play baseball again. But, here we are. 

He had a pretty good game, making contact twice, and getting one hit. He also fielded the two balls that were hit to him in the outfield. But, alas, his team was soundly beaten.

This age of Little League is REAL hard to watch. The pitchers can't throw strikes, and when they do...half of the kids don't want to hit it. So, you get a lot of walks, and a lot of "stolen bases" when the pitcher throws it over the catchers head.

Plus, it was cold. 60F, but real windy.
