Guilty?

A few weeks ago, I bought a new pair of shoes, and the sales person persuaded me to buy some water repellent to protect them. I duly sprayed them outside…on the deck. 
That was fine until it rained - and now every time it rains the outline of my shoes appears.
Do you think I could market this photo to the manufacturer to demonstrate that their product works?
Next time, I will chose a better location!
