Colourful but...
Can anyone explain how at least a couple of bin bags full, of empty drink cans, can end up strewn in the middle of the countryside, far enough from any road to make the journey on foot to dump it a mission? A photo of the whole extent was a bit too much to post.
It makes for a colourful blip but I've spent a great deal of time picking up litter like this over the years as a volunteer. There is no excuse for litter. Bottles and cans don't make safe homes for wildlife or benefit the soil. It's more worrying that someone has made the journey, even if the cans were full when a party arrived, to dump this. No alcohol and just one cigarette packet! So, it wasn't a typical scene from after a Rave.
I've got a definition for who left this pile, but I'd better refrain from using the language online!
My heart goes out to all those who were involved in the tragic bombing in Boston. Here I am gabbling on about litter but far from forgetting that there are people out there, suffering for senseless violence.
