The Turf Hotel

…stands at the junction of the Exeter Canal and the River Exe. You have to arrive on foot, by boat, or bicycle. It’s a great walk from Powderham Church. There is a footpath as well as a cycle trail, which the girls used on their scooters.  It’s a good old fashioned place with a big out door area, flanked by the river. On the outside wall is an old advert for Kennaway’s ‘Adore’ scotch whisky - extra. One of our favourite walks.
