Friendly Dove

Yesterday, whilst youngest son and I were sitting in the garden, we heard a strange whooshing sound. I thought it was something sliding off the roof but then we noticed a sparrowhawk had swooped down and was taking something off our lawn. I didn't see what it took, really hope it wasn't one of our squirrels, but did wonder if it was this dove's partner as it has been hanging around the garden ever since as though it is looking for something.
