Pot on a post
A bright and sunny day today, tho' with a brisk wind. We went up to Poppies Garden Centre for lunch hoping to sit outside, but it was just too breezy being right beside the sea, so we ate indoors.
When we got home it was more sheltered out on the deck, so we sat out for most of the afternoon with cuppas and books and enjoyed the sunshine, even if it occasionally disappeared behind the beautiful white cumulous clouds.
For some time I've thought it would be fun to fix a plant pot to a post down beside the road and put some flowers in it, and last week I got round to doing it. This post marks the edge of our territory, though there's no fence attached. I cut out a circle of wood to put inside the pot and screwed it to the post, popping in a couple of geraniums and an ivy. Although I have seen a couple of people looking curiously at it, most passers-by on the road don't even seem to notice it! It looks as if it's just sitting there. Oh well, just a bit of fun and it did for today's Blip!
