Flu jab day

This morning hubby baked his sourdough bread so, of course, we sampled it at lunchtime - delicious! After lunch we went to get our flu jabs, and were also weighed and had our blood pressure taken. We now need to go and have blood tests for an annual check.

Afterwards we walked down to Mission Bay to catch the bus home, which is where I saw the flowers and the piece of driftwood on the beach embellished with the words “Do Good”, which are in today’s blip.

This evening we went into central Auckland to meet two friends from Napier who now live in New Plymouth and are visiting Auckland for a few days.  It was good to catch up.  The bar we’d planned to go to for a pre-dinner drink was closed so we went to the Harbourside Bar in the Ferry Building instead.  We had dinner at Amano, which is a favourite.  The staff are excellent, as is the food, and the ambience is lovely.  We had a most enjoyable evening.
