Some of the Highland cattle in Pollok Park. Unfortunately the little white calf was too far away for a photo. With friends we visited the newly reopened Burrell and enjoyed seeing many of the exhibits which had not previously been on display. (Extra) One quite unassuming chair was a "trick chair" or "imprisoning chair" which William Burrell would enjoy watching a guest's reaction if he sat on it in the entrance hall to his house. When a person sits on it, the seat tilts tilts backwards setting off a mechanism which is hidden underneath. This forces curved iron bars to spring out of the arm supports clamping down on the sitter's legs and imprisoning him in the chair.
