Ospreys

A wee dawdle this afternoon up to Loch of the Lowes, near Dunkeld, to have a look at the osprey nest, and anything else that took my fancy. The nest is some way from the hide, as you can spot from the photo, which was my Lumix at max everything. 
Mr Osprey is on the left, you can just see Mrs Osprey's head in the nest. The extra is a shot of the webcam; Mrs O doing her business. 
There were chaps there with very long lenses indeed, and I saw a dramatic shot of Mr O decapitating a fish, before taking it back to the nest. Which they do, apparently. 
A lovely, calm spot: recommended. (take a looooong lens).
