Share the path and chasing shadows

You can always count on there being cyclists riding on the breakwall.  This is actually at the beach end of it with Nobbys beach behind.  A stiff offshore and yet there were at least six surf schools vans I saw all with instructors and kids in tow.  School holidays learn to surf no doubt.

The sign on the ground half out of view is "share the path" encouraging pedestrians and cyclists to be civil to each other.   Only about one in a hundred cyclists will do the right thing and let you know they are coming up behind you.   But really, is it sooooo hard to give a tinkle on your bell to let a walker you are speeding up behind know you are coming.  After all, the rules also request that the cyclist do that too.   Oh I better shut up about that as a I know there are a lot of blippers who do a lot of cycling and no doubt have as many tales to tell about pedestrians who hog or wander across the whole width of the shared path or drivers who run them off the road.

PS, these two will never catch their shadows.

Thanks for hosting Bob.
