reacclimatising

Nowadays I'm very aware of when school holidays are and have to plan accordingly, but in the past I'd sometimes not realise a day was a bank holiday until noticing that the roads were a bit quiet. If I noticed early enough I would sometimes divert to a particular route which took advantage of it, such as going along Salisbury Road/Place and Grange Road rather than through the Meadows after going up through the park.
