St Mary Le Strand

Our photosoc went for a walk around the River Thames this evening, across Hungerford and Waterloo Bridges and into Somerset House.  One of the most amazing things was being able to stand in the middle of the Strand, where there used to be four lanes of traffic, in peace and quiet, and admire all the lovely buildings around. Not least, St Mary Le Strand which will sit in the centre of a beautiful garden when all the work is finished, an oasis in the city.
