Kestrel ( Falco Tinnunculus )

One of the joys, for me at least, of cruising the cut is being close to the natural world.  All sorts of things pop up unexpectedly, and many plants can grow without human interference.

This Kestrel is an example, there we were meandering our way along the canal, I noticed movement to my right, there was a Kestrel hovering over its prey.  Had I been walking it would have moved away long before I was as close.
