Unexpected guests

Two ducks surprised us by dropping into the garden this afternoon. Mrs Duck inspected the garden and enthusiastically let me know her thoughts, she came over to say hello, waited patiently while I went to fetch my camera and then posed happily for photographs. Meanwhile her partner hid in the bushes occasionally peeking out to see what was going on. After about 15 minutes they bid their farewells and flew off in the direction of the village pond.
