Chionodoxa luciliae
This little beauty is also known under the common name of Glory of the Snow, but fortunately there is no longer any snow to be seen. It was surprising how after just one sunny day it seems to have shot out of the ground and even in the fierce wind is holding it's own. This flower is minute, only rising to about 5 cm high and with a tiny flower head. Small but perfectly formed.
Apologies if I don't get around to commenting on your blipfotos today, I'm away this evening so might not get around to everyone.
