TINY TUESDAY

We were very upset when we had to have our large cherry tree felled a couple of years ago but then we re-modelled the garden, so we were happy doing that.

However, we missed having trees, although we do have Council trees behind the fence on the verge outside, but it’s not the same as having one in your own garden.

A few weeks ago, we saw an advertisement for five trees for a very reasonable price, so decided to send for them.  When they came they looked just like sticks, but Mr. HCB planted them in pots and having waited patiently, they are all looking good now.  

This one is a Victoria Plum and even if we don’t get too many plums in its first year, at least this tiny blossom will have had its 15 minutes of fame on Blip!  Apparently, plum blossom symbolises perseverance and hope, as well as, beauty thriving in adverse circumstances - we are happy with that! 

I rather liked this quote - and have put a shot of the apple blossom in as an extra, which is quite different from this one.
