From the fire escape

This is one of the views out of the floor of my work. We're pretty lucky in that we occupy the entire 7th floor and therefore get views facing North, South, East and West. That's really great, the only thing is that the windows don't open and they're really really dirty, so forget trying to get a shot from inside!

I finally took the plunge and opened the door to the fire escape to see what I could see from there. Thankfully it wasn't alarmed, and there was an extra bonus that a window had been shimmied up just enough to fit the camera through. I wonder whether another blipper has been here before!?

Not the best light, nor the best frame here, but it constitutes the best of today's potentials so here it is! I have no doubt that you'll see this view again.

The green at the front is Carlton Gardens, the dome is the exhibition centre (together these are a world heritage site), and was in my 'bike alley' blip from last week. The big metal silvery thing sticking out into the air is Melbourne Museum.

The sunsets can be spectacular from up here, so I'll see whether I can trap one for you in the future.
