Pecan tree

Autumn colour in our garden. This tree is about 10 years old but we never get any pecans from it. Maybe it is the fact that our climate is not similar to southern New Mexico where we have seen thousands of acres of very healthy and productive pecan trees.

Many years ago we visited one of the largest pecan growers in the world, Stahmann Farms, which is situated in the Mesilla Valley on the outskirts of Las Cruces, NM.That was the beginning of our love affair with pecans.
