The islands

Late last night we booked a hop on hop off boat trip for the local islands. In the end we stayed on one, Culatra. The ‘deserted island’ offered no shade on a hot day. And Farol was actually a part of the one we were on. So this fishing island did nicely for the day. One Main Street with concrete slabs as the road, otherwise it was sandy roads and paths. Tractor and boat were the best ways to travel.
I did have a swim, it was fresh at 16 degrees.
After yesterday’s meat feast it was all fish today, Cataplan (fish stew ) in the middle of the day and squid cooked over a fire in the evening.
A lovely day altogether, and hotter than expected.
