Hovering

A delightful Easter Sunday in the company of our son James, his wife Katie my sister Happy_Janwen and her husband Incredibish.  The cooking all went well, which is obviously always a relief when that's your responsibility, and Cathy's Simnel Cake was an absolute triumph.  Cathy is worrying that we might have too much of it left over.  But I'm not, I'm rather looking forward to tucking into it in the days to come.

I'm also hoping to be able to take a slice in for Dad in his Care Home, as he is quite partial to cake generally and mentioned Cathy's Simnel Cake when I saw him a few days ago.

After dinner we headed off for a walk to settle our stomachs and make room for a hot cross bun(!) That's when I spotted the Kestrel in todays blip, hovering over the hillside surfing the breeze and looking for something small to eat.

Unlike the Kestrel, which didn't seem to find anything whilst we were watching, I have eaten my fill today, and will need to do some significant exercise in the next day or two, to make up for it.
