Iftar
After years of failing to organise our family Easter egg hunt at Easter and doing it in the autumn instead, we finally got our act together this year and assembled today to celebrate Easter weekend. Lunch in the garden, a communal heaving of baby apple trees into a better position, a restorative sunny nap on the grass (and dandelions), tea and hot-cross buns, a walk in the park (where the blossom in the evening sun was glowing - extra), a Covid test for the one feeling grotty while a couple of us prepared supper and, um, positive.
Ah.
We packed her supper into a plastic box and dispatched her home (a six-minute cycle ride, though I'm not sure her flatmate will be thrilled) and agreed that tomorrow's Easter egg hunt would be deferred to Wester, yet again. At least that'll enable one of our number to bring the eggs they'd forgotten to bring this time.
