Kerameikos
A busy day. In the morning, a fascinating tour of the Kerameikos ancient site in Athens. The guide was the head of the ongoing excavations and was really excellent.. a fount of knowledge and the ability to make it all come to life. Afterwards lunch in Thisseon with some of the group.
And in the evening , 2 more French films in the festival: El Jaida and La Fracture. Both very good in very different ways. The first set in Tunisia shortly before Independence, following women in prison, sent there by their displeased husbands. The second set in an overwhelmed Paris hospital A&E department during the 'Gilets jaunes' protests. They sound a bit morbid but were unexpectedly compelling and dramatic, and humorous too.
