Callum and Holly arrived mid morning and gave the new place the thumbs up. After the tour coffees and chat we headed off and managed to get parked up at the top car park and walked up Gowbarrow along the top, down to Aira and back up the beck to the high cascades. All pretty quiet, considering. I think it was busier when my brother and I came up a few weeks ago.
Then it was over Kirkstone to the Queens Head where they were staying, for dinner, and I drove back to a beautiful full moon shining over the lake on my way back home. Loads of campers parked up in all the lay-bys and groups with fires along the shore.

Excited talk of the upcoming wedding. I so wish his dad was here.
