Coats Back On


Disappointed to see it was much cooler and greyer than yesterday.
Even though l am three score and ten and more l still expect the sun to shine if it did yesterday.

Started clear out the shed. 
Since Mr P died it’s been easy to give away or donate tools and other items to people who want them or good causes.
When l say easy l don’t mean emotionally.
The stuff that’s left is more problematic, it would be easy just to take it to the tip for landfill after sorting out what is recyclable.
But l made inroads today and put the back seats in the car down and got rid of a load.
Got some more ericaceous compost to plant up my acers and give a mulch to the other plants in pots that need a light dressing: hydrangeas, blueberries etc.
Got another two 40L bags of organic compost, literally threw the second bank down when l carried it into the back garden, subsequently split the bag, not one of my finest ideas. 
Had an hour sat in the conservatory and will now go out in the garden for an hour.
The sun is now out so looking much brighter.
Later l will make a pavlova, like to keep it in the oven overnight.
Will add the cream and fruit tomorrow.

Can see my Rowan is about to burst into leaf and my faithful white tulips are making a nice show again.
