Maple

The maples really turn on the colour at this time of the year.  Grabbed this late afternoon, the last of the sun hitting just a small portion of our tree.

Doug bought a battery trimmer last week and was very keen to put it to work.  This morning he started cutting back the lavenders, even with the trimmer it is still hard work, my job collecting all the stalks and tidying.  We've only done half of the lavender bank,  but its a start at least.
