Oxlips...

...at Shadwell Woods just over the border at Ashdon in Essex.

We had a quiet Good Friday. In the afternoon we had a walk on the Roman Road at Worsted Lodge and from there we drove over to Ashdon for a quick look in Shadwell Wood to see if the wild flowers were out. Shadwell Wood is one of the few places locally where Oxlips grow, we weren't disappointed.

The extra is the Roman Road, during the pandemic this was a favourite walking place for many, we had the place to ourselves today.
